Q: Is there a participation limit for your event in 2011?
A: During the last youple of years we had an average of approximately 900 participants. Our capacities on the Herrenkoog compound allow for up to 1.000 participants. All necessary information will be available over the internet as well.
Q: Do you allow external athletes´ assistance on the course?
A: No, violations might lead to exclusion from the race. Exceptions are allowed during the Kids Triathlon. Based on the assessment of the parents younger kids are allowed to get assistance either in the transition zone or on the course. This is because during the kids event emphasis is put on having fun and motivating the participants for further triathlon activities. But parents, relatives and friends are kindly asked for discretion and limit their support to the minimum to avoid disadvantages for others.

Between 17°C and 20°C, most likely wearing a wet suit will be allowed. Even in the cold summer of 2010 water temperature was above 17°C.
F: What kind of weather do you expect during the race days?
Great question. During the last couple of years weather in Nordfriesland has been stable and friendly in the beginning of june. At least better than by the end of june or during parts of july. It will definitely be windy! And especially this is why we will enforce drafting free bike splits in the upcoming future.
Q: May I use my own timing chip?
A: No, the service company uses own chips exclusively. But different from many other endurance events we do not charge a chip rental fee!!
Q: Is there an official bike service shop available?
A: Yes definitely, you may expect professional assistance if needed on the Herrenkoog compound.
